Today I joined the Nepean Ulysses Branch to ride in the parade at Penrith. We had 12 bikes and one trailer, which was handy because riders that didn’t have a pannier or top box to put there riding gear in was able to put it in the trailer pulled by an Honda ST 1300. The day was hot and we did a lot of stopping and starting because the pace was just too slow to maintain a slow ride with your feet up. We were doing the parade to help promote the Ulysses 2009 AGM which is being organised by Nepean Ulysses Branch http://www.ulysses.org.au/branches/nepean/ and the website for the AGM is http://www.ulyssesclub.org/agm2009/home.htm . It was a very good day with lunch after the parade. Tomorrow I lead a ride to Kiama and the weather is promising to be good.
